Ordered late Tuesday night. Delivered Thursday morning. Well packaged and the Runner looks great in the hall having replaced a rather tired looking one. Great service/quality/price and will recommend Home Trends to friends and family.

This is a nice and soft runner rug. My only disappointment was with the colours - depending on how the light falls on it, the colours look more or less intense. Unfortunately, from most angles in my kitchen, the colours look quite pale (not as intense as in the picture of the website).

Response:

Hi Manuela,
Thank you for taking the time to leave constructive feedback. Sorry you feel the colour is not as intense as you expected. This effect can happen with a new rug with a thicker pile... when a rug is tightly packed and the pile lies flat it will take a few days or weeks for that pile to come life to its fullest and plump up. As the pile lies flat it will catch the light and direct it toward you. However, as the pile starts to recover from being packed away it stands up straighter and won't be directing as much light toward you, as the light reflections become more diffused / scattered in the piles and therefore colours will look more intense.

To help bring the rug to life you could vacuum the rug against the direction of the pile to encourage the pile to stand up straight, therefore diffusing the light more evenly, you'll notice as you vacuum, the colour becomes darker... I've seen this as I photograph our rugs.

Thanks again.

Kind Regards,
Cormac
